The Institute for Digital Law Trier is seeking to fill a post as a Research Assistant (m/f/d) (E 13 TV-L, 50%, fixed-term until 30 November 2029 for the purpose of qualification in accordance with the WissZeitVG) with effect from 1 December 2026

These are the tasks you can expect
You will join our team in one of our research areas – specifically in the field of platform regulation, the regulation of artificial intelligence or data law – on a fixed-term contract in accordance with the WissZeitVG for a period of up to three years. A fixed-term extension and an increase in working hours may be considered where appropriate. The post has been established for the purpose of obtaining a doctoral qualification (PhD) in civil law or public law, in each case with a focus on digitalisation.
Knowledge of German is required, English and French is an advantage.
Help shape the law of digitalisation! Our dedicated team conducts research into the major challenges associated with digitalisation in today’s world. Responsibilities include, amongst other things: supporting research projects, organising workshops and conferences, assisting with the administration and organisation of the institute, and pursuing your own academic development (PhD). We offer flexible working hours and, upon request, also allow for a balanced mix of on-site and remote working.
